Our client and the design team embraced the theme of "the barn" as the aesthetic direction for the space. Salvaging of materials was an early decision so as to save on material costs for overall construction expenses while maintaining authentic barn elements in design.

Exterior barn doors were painted and reinstalled as window shutters at open classroom areas. Lumber with galvanized strapping was used for corridor display paneling, and brackets from stable shelving were repurposed for a comfortable, durable space.

The resulting design is a dynamic facility that has transformed the youth ministry by attracting kids from all around the region.
