Inspired by TURNERBATSON’s design of the Downtown Trussville Entertainment District, the City of Alabaster engaged our firm to enhance their municipal campus. Situated among the municipal building, senior center, and a historic water tower, the project called for the addition of an amphitheater and a multi-purpose meeting room designed to serve both the new performance space and the existing senior center.

The new stage is designed in steel and stone, accompanied by supporting facilities including a Green Room for
the performers. Sound systems, theatrical lighting, and a large video wall were also integrated into the design. The
meeting room is located adjacent to the senior center, with a covered porch to provide VIP seating overlooking
the amphitheater. Large glazed garage doors open the space to the outdoors during pleasant weather. Restroom
facilities for the amphitheater were also included. Sidewalks and landscaping were used to tie the separate buildings
together. Opening in time for Christmas activities in 2024, the facility continues to serve the needs of the residents of
Alabaster.
