People. Passion. and Purpose. Three things we believe in at TURNERBATSON. It’s not by chance that people are first in that phrase. We are driven to fulfill our purpose of building great buildings, but we are fueled by our relationships — with each other and those we work with every day. We are very blessed to work for a company that values people.
As the holiday season approaches, my mind goes back to all of the great friendships that I have formed in my 20+ years here at TURNERBATSON. Sure, there have been a lot of great projects of various sizes and types for which we are very grateful, but it’s been the relationships with owners, contractors, consultants, and material suppliers that have brought me the greatest joy. There have been so many that I have been honored to work with over the years and for that I say “Thank You!”
2020 has been very different. COVID-19 has affected all of our lives physically, economically, socially, and spiritually. The way we do work and the way we do life, our relationships with family, friends and co-workers, have all greatly changed. We pray for those who have lost loved ones or who have suffered during this time. We long for things to get back to “normal.”
Every November, we do something that has become a tried and true tradition. We put together a Holiday Lunch where we take the opportunity to thank those that have been so important to us over the past year. Due to COVID-19, our Holiday Lunch had to be canceled this year. Our gratitude for our co-workers and team members continues on. In years past, we have expressed our thanks by offering good food and fellowship. This year we simply offer a sincere and heart felt “Thank You.”
In some ways this may be even better. Sometimes the core of what we’re trying to say gets lost in the Bar-B-Que and potato salad. This year, we hope you hear our hearts. What we do requires a “TEAM.” We can’t do it alone. It requires teamwork from a specialized and talented group of individuals, each gifted in their own way. We feel that God has truly blessed us with you … our team members … our friends.
