Fairfield High School Fine Arts Center

As part of a five-year strategic initiative, Fairfield City Schools developed a plan to improve its school buildings — from aesthetic renovations and additions to major technological advancements for contemporary student learning objectives. Fairfield Superintendent, Dr. Walter Gonsoulin, spearheaded this initiative and sought out TURNERBATSON to help Fairfield High Preparatory School reach the next level of educational excellence.

The centerpiece of this project is a new 35,000 square foot fine arts building. The fine arts auditorium seats more than 1,000 students and houses a full stage, backstage support spaces, acoustic reflector panels, and an orchestra pit. Other building projects feature a new entrance to the high school, expanded administrative spaces, a multi-purpose 100-seat meeting space, and a new field house.

Subsequent work included a synthetic turf football field reinstallation.
