Upon completion of Aspire Physical Recovery in Hoover, Northport Health Services (NHS Management, LLC) hired TURNERBATSON as the architects and interior designers to design its next facility in Vestavia Hills. The project was focused on Aspire’s mission to allow its patients the opportunity to relax, recover, and regain their abilities during short-term rehabilitation. In order to take this brand new model to the next level, Aspire opened its Vestavia Hills location with the goal to create an atmosphere where recovery time felt like a luxury vacation complete with a touch of home and personalized care.

The two-story facility located on six acres and covering more than 86,000 square feet pays homage to European architecture through the use of stone veneer façades, stucco, cast stone details and hand hewn cedar brackets. It continues this “old world lodge” concept throughout the interior as well by featuring a calming mix of materials such as stone fireplaces and wood beams. Designers went with a tranquil palette of blues, greens and tans to allow organic textures and patterns to take center stage, creating a diverse tactile and visually rich experience for residents.

As guests are enjoying concierge services, the health and beauty spa, relaxing by the manicured lawn or having some peace and quiet in one of 120 private rooms; we hope that each special touch makes their stay as comfortable and at home as possible.
