Alabama’s largest provider of assisted living, nursing home, and medical rehabilitation services, Northport Health Services (NHS Management, LLC) wanted to expand its footprint in the Birmingham area. Aiming for state-of-the-art service and facilities, NHS hired TURNERBATSON as the architects and interior designers to design two 80,000+ square feet facilities in Hoover and Vestavia Hills. These resort-like buildings allow residents to relax, recover, and regain their abilities during their short-term rehabilitation.
Both facilities offer hospitable environments varying from Classical to European-inspired concepts. Aspire Hoover’s brick exterior gives the building a traditional look, and the Classical white columns supporting the covered entrance welcome residents into a stately, yet friendly facility. Aspire Cahaba River features a English lodge atmosphere with a calming mix of materials including stone veneer façades, wood beams, stone fireplaces, and tranquil color palettes creating a diverse, tactile, and visually rich experience for residents.
The exteriors of both buildings include screened porches, fountains, landscaping, and miniature putting greens for recreation and rehabilitation.
Residents can enjoy amenities such as open dining and living spaces, concierge services, on-site gyms, and health and wellness spas offering salon and massage services.
