TURNERBATSON is pleased to announce that the Purdue Christian Campus House received an Award of Merit during the Associated Builders & Contractors of Indiana/Kentucky awards gala. The awards recognize outstanding projects for their Originality, Quality, and Safety. During the event, the skill and creativity of the entire team – contractor, owner, architect, and engineer were honored. TURNERBATSON partnered with T&W Church Solutions out of Indianapolis, IN, on this award-winning project.
Purdue Christian Campus House is a non-denominational church community comprised of undergrad & graduate students, young professionals, and families who desire to follow Jesus and grow in their faith. Its purpose is to be a hospitable, diverse, multi-generational church that cares well for each other and those outside our doors.
Located on State Street, in a thriving outparcel of campus, the new Campus House building was designed to fit the surrounding neighborhood and promote interaction for students and the community. The traditional style of the building relates to the Purdue campus while adding a contemporary mix to the new design. The three-story building includes a 500-seat auditorium for church services and community events, meeting rooms, and the second Greyhouse Coffee and Supply Co. location. The exterior of the building supports the Re-State plan by providing sidewalk access to the coffee shop, outdoor seating, and ample bicycle parking.
TURNERBATSON was honored to receive the news from T&W on behalf of its talented team and Purdue employees. This recognition illustrates the wonderful relationships that the firm has developed with Purdue Christian Campus House, T&W Church Solutions, and the other engineers and subcontractors that made the client’s dreams a reality.
