On Friday, October 24th, leaders from across Alabama gathered to celebrate the groundbreaking of the National Computer Forensics Institute (NCFI) Addition and Renovations project. Public officials from the City of Hoover, Shelby County, the Alabama State Senate, the Alabama District Attorneys Association, and U.S. Representatives joined together to mark the start of construction on this one-of-a-kind facility — the only institute of its kind in the nation.

The upcoming addition and renovations will expand NCFI’s capacity to train law enforcement professionals from across the country, featuring new offices, additional classrooms, and a 250-seat auditorium designed to enhance collaboration and education in the ever-evolving field of digital forensics.

Special thanks to the design team (pictured with shovels in the picture above) for their expertise and vision.
